Justin Petersen, MPH
Justin Petersen is the President and Founder of Pillars & Shield Consulting, and the experience he brings to that role is anything but ordinary.
With over 20 years of experience spanning healthcare, emergency services, and business administration, Justin has built a career defined by a single conviction: that organizations entrusted with people's safety and wellbeing deserve expert, personalized support, not generic advice. That conviction is what led him to found Pillars & Shield, and it's what drives every client engagement to this day.
Justin holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and maintains national and state certifications in hazmat response, mold inspection, asbestos inspection, and a broad range of additional professional disciplines. He pursues continuing education with the same dedication he brings to his clients, because in a field where regulations evolve, standards shift, and best practices advance, staying current isn't a professional courtesy. It's a responsibility.
His approach to consulting is direct, practical, and genuinely collaborative. Justin doesn't arrive with a predetermined playbook. He listens first, to your leadership, your team, and the realities shaping your organization, and builds a strategy from there. Clients don't just gain a consultant when they work with Justin.
